Amsterdam 2000
World Conference For Evangelists
Invited God's Story: From Creation to Eternity
to be shown in
Eight World Languages

Leaders of Amsterdam 2000 asked if they could show our video,
God's Story: From Creation to Eternity
to their 11 thousand conference attendees from 209 countries

Needless to say we said, "YES!"

This 10-day conference, sponsored by the Billy Graham Evangelistic Association, last convened in 1986. The "by invitation only" delegates were evangelists from around the world, 75% of whom are from emerging nations.  This was the last international gathering for ailing Billy Graham who "passed the gauntlet" via satellite to the attending evangelists.

For one workshop of this 10-day gathering, the attendees were given their choice of eight languages in which to view God's Story. As director of The God's Story Project, I represented God's Story at the convention in the booth of Eden Communications which helped set up this wonderful opportunity.  May I say, "OUR BOOTH WAS SWAMPED BEYOND OUR WILDEST DREAMS WITH EVANGELISTS AND PASTORS WHO WANTED GOD'S STORY IN THEIR HEART  LANGUAGES!"

We were part of a panel discussion to explain the many ways God's Story can be utilized. This huge exposure of the God's Story video to the world of evangelism is a gift from God. We consider it an answer to many prayers including those of the precious elderly residents of two nursing homes where we lead weekly church services.  Jesus on the Cross

Description Of God's Story
We Shared With Attendees

God's Story is an overview of the Bible covering Genesis to Revelation in a storytelling video format.  This video captivates all age groups whether shown to individuals, families or in churches and stadiums.  It can be played on handheld portable VCD players, on TVs through a VCR or VCD player, on overhead video projectors, or aired on TV.

The audio of God's Story (narration, sound effects and music) stands alone. Because of the powerful impact of hearing the Bible in this chronological storytelling format, the audio CDs and cassettes work wonderfully for radio broadcast.  Cassettes of God's Story are ideal Abrahm Sacrifice of Issac for use in primitive situations where screen viewing is not practical or available.

Because of timely and generous donations, we were privileged at our booth to hand out 5,000 copies of God's Story on audio cassettes in 21 languages.

Because God's Story covers many Bible stories, it is versatile to use. It can be viewed either all at once as an 80-minute panorama of the Bible, or in halves, thirds or in 18 individual segments. This flexibility makes it useful for all types of gatherings: cell groups, home studies, Sunday schools, community outreach as well as the aforementioned radio and TV broadcasting. We even have a radio script available which presents God's Story in eight, 15-minute programs.

We also have available a Discussion Guide which equips new teachers and easily allows them to customize their presentation. They can show and discuss however many of the 18 segments at a time that they feel are suitable for their group.

MusMoses Parts Red Sealims, Buddhists, Hindus, Spirit worshipers, "cultural Christians," and secular humanists alike are captivated by this foundational presentation of the Gospel.  They should be.  After all...God wrote His Book this way...Jesus too used the chronological approach and storytelling as His way of communicating.  The effectiveness of using this Biblical design is already reaping a great harvest world wide.

After discovering the video at Amsterdam, 796 different evangelists and pastors offered their services to translate the script into one or more new language versions, and also to provide narrators. That work is a big part of what we need to produce a new language.  Since most of the evangelists are from third world countries, our job is to come up with the funding.  It costs $3,500 for each new language.

Premier of Solar Powered Equipment to Present God's Story

We premiered the Evangelists Backpack at the convention.  Inside the EV Backpack is VCD player, a battery power source, a VCD disk of God's Story in the language of the evangelist and a solar panel to keep the everything running.  Also added since we returned home is a PA which can be heard 500' away.  It has a wireless headset mic and is also solar powered.

Evangelists would be blessed beyond measure to have a DVD or VCD player with a pop-up screen to take the Gospel to unreached people. These players can be plugged into a wall socket or run off a car battery. The VCD players can also run several hours on their own batteries or be solar powered. A group of people (40 or so) can clearly see God' s Story on this screen and now with  the PA multiplied hundreds can hear the message as well.  When connected to a TV, the player works like a VCR, or it can be used with a video projector

We will never forget one evangelist from Africa who stared at God's Story on the VCD player's screen and then listened to the description of the solar powered EV Backpack. He looked right at me and said, "Lady, do you know how many people I could reach in the villages with this...people who have never heard the Gospel?"

We do know the potential of the EV Backpacks to present God's Story and other films like the Jesus Film .  That is why we were there and why today we want as many people as possible to know about this great opportunity to equip evangelists.

Our main vision for the VCD players is to place them into the hands of the select evangelists who go far beyond the comfort zone to reach the lost. The added beauty of this package is this. Since God's Story is an overview of the Bible, it can be used not only for evangelism, but also as an ongoing teaching tool to illustrate many stories as part of the discipleship of new Christians.

Right now we are filling requests for the EV Backpacks one at a time .

Results of Using the EV Backpacks

From just one VCD player and God's Story that was carried into China, whole villages are being reached and large numbers have come to know Jesus.   An American eye doctor who ministers in remote village of Honduras, reachable only by dugout canoe, reports 20-30 people a night watching God's Story and of many praying for salvation afterwards.   Another native evangelist in Haiti tells us how he puts the player up on a high shelf and the people crowd into see the "movie." He reports audiences up to 67 people (and even once 200) watching the program and of more than half praying to receive Christ afterwards.
